Lake Park Campground
The Village of Cumberland is pleased to announce the management plan for Cumberland’s Lake Park Campground. The Village has tentatively contracted Holiday Trails Resorts to run and maintain the park. The initial contract will be for a 3 year term with an option for a longer term commitment.
Holiday Trails Resorts is the largest RV Resort Network in Canada, is Canadian owned and operated and has about 25 years experience running parks and resorts. They bring an experience and skill base that will be a real asset to the maintenance and improvement of the park.
The Village is very excited about the possibilities of this partnership and hopes to obtain the appropriate permits to upgrade the facilities for the publics enjoyment. Once these permits are in place, the intention is that Holiday Trails Resorts will make a long term commitment to the Village and begin to invest the money necessary to make the park open year round, create a day use area, improve the launch area, and expand the number of full service camping sites.
Holiday Trails Resorts and the Village of Cumberland feel this is a mutually beneficial partnership and look forward to working together to create an environmentally sustainable waterfront recreational area. The advantages of working with Holiday Trails Resorts include: professional campground management experience, marketing initiatives for the park and the Village, and capital investment for park upgrades.
